Full-Frame Window Replacement

The old window and frame are removed to expose the opening. This approach may be appropriate when the existing frame is damaged or a more complete replacement is required.

Insert Window Replacement

A new window is installed within an existing frame that remains suitable for use. This can provide a less extensive replacement when conditions allow.

Window Trim & Exterior Repairs

Selected damaged trim, plywood or exterior wood around the opening can be addressed as part of a larger approved window or exterior project.

  • Drafts, failed glass seals, difficult operation, damaged frames and recurring moisture problems may indicate that replacement should be considered. The visible condition and surrounding opening need to be assessed.

  • Insert replacement keeps the existing frame and installs a new unit within it. Full-frame replacement removes the existing unit and frame to expose more of the opening. The condition of the existing window determines which approach is appropriate.

  • Project size and availability should be confirmed directly with O&K Construction. Send the approximate quantity, address and photos so we can determine whether the project fits our scope.

  • Selected damaged trim, plywood or exterior wood may be repaired when it is part of an approved window or larger exterior project. Hidden deterioration may not be visible until the existing unit or trim is removed.

  • Properly selected and installed windows can address drafts coming through the window assembly. Air movement may also originate from surrounding walls, trim or other areas of the home, so no universal energy-saving result should be promised.

  • Timing depends on the number of windows, replacement method, access, product availability and whether repair is required around any openings.
